Regular Council Session

07/11/2011

At a regular council meeting held Monday, July 11, 2011, at 6:00 pm council members present were Stewar Short, Jim Crittenden, and Gene Thompson.

Minutes of last meeting were approved with motion made by council member Short, seconded by council member Crittenden. Motion carried.

Accounts payable were reviewed. Bills hd already been paid due to meeting being held later in the month.

We had two businesses to approve. One from Travis and Paula Gaskins wanting to put in a party and game supply store for kids call “Everything Kidz”. This was approved with motion made by council member Short, seconded by council member Thompson.Motion carried.

The other business was Chris Weathersby wanting to put in a used car lot and insurance office. He also applied for an RBEG Loan for $5000. The loan wasn’t approved because he did not have enough collateral. He will need to get more collateral for loan but businesses were approved with motion made by council member Crittenden, seconded by member Short. Motion carried.

Our auditor, Frank Erwin, had completed the 2010 Audit which needed to be approved. Council and mayor reviewed audit and motion made by Councilman Short to approve the audit, seconded by council member Thompson. Motion carried.

Being no further business, meeting was adjoured.
